Zhejiang Lanxin Composite Materials has disclosed the environmental impact assessment for its new project to produce 200,000 laser additive manufactured metal-ceramic composite brake discs annually, filed on the Zhejiang Province project approval platform on September 7. This milestone marks the entry of the laser additive and metal-ceramic composite brake disc production route into the capacity expansion approval stage, serving as a clear signal of industrialization for additive-manufactured brake discs—following the powder metallurgy brake pad segment. The project is expected to drive demand for metal-ceramic composite powders and laser additive equipment, further establishing a high-certainty application scenario for volume production of additively manufactured civilian parts.
