Our Story
PowderSight was born from a real, recurring frustration: sourcing metal powders for international buyers was slow, opaque, and expensive.
Our founder, Ada Liu, spent years connecting Western aerospace and medical device companies with Chinese metal powder manufacturers. Every deal started the same way — days of WeChat messages, spreadsheet price comparisons, manual CNY-to-USD conversion, and the nagging question: "Is this actually a fair price?"
The data existed. Chinese manufacturers publish their EXW prices. Exchange rates are public. Certification databases are searchable. But no one had connected the dots.
In early 2026, Ada assembled a team and built PowderSight: a real-time market intelligence platform that aggregates, translates, and verifies metal powder pricing from across China's manufacturing ecosystem. The goal was simple — give buyers the same information advantage that insiders have.
Since launch, we've grown to track 555 products across 6 material families from 50+ verified suppliers. Our AI matching engine processes RFQs and ranks suppliers by material compatibility, spec match, pricing competitiveness, and certification status — all in seconds.
