CuSn10 Bronze Powder
Copper Alloy Powders · Metal Additive Manufacturing Powder
CuSn10 is a tin bronze with roughly 10% tin, combining good strength and corrosion resistance with outstanding anti-friction behavior — the traditional material of plain bearings, bushings and worm gears. In powder metallurgy it runs two routes: press-and-sinter for high-volume bearing parts, and LPBF for complex oil-channel and conformal structures. Both routes must control tin oxidation/volatilization. When buying, confirm tin content and lead-type impurities (high-lead bronzes are a different product line), check oxygen content for LPBF spherical powder, and confirm particle size and compactability for the sinter route.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I buy CuSn10 as sinter or print powder?
Press-and-sinter powder suits high-volume bearing and bushing production; spherical LPBF powder suits parts with complex oil channels or conformal structures. Check tin content and oxygen level in both cases.
What makes CuSn10 good for bearings?
Tin solid-solution and compound strengthening plus excellent oil-film retention give the classic bronze bearing behavior: wear resistance with low friction against steel journals.
What are the key quality checks?
Tin content within 9-11%, impurity control (lead variants are separate grades), oxygen content for print powder, and particle-size/compactability for the sinter route.
