Nigeria's National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has announced plans to establish a metal additive manufacturing center in the country, focusing on localizing metal powder production and printing applications. The center will operate under a public-private partnership model, with the government providing facilities and the private sector contributing funding and technology. Following South Africa, this marks another industrial hub for metal additive manufacturing on the African continent, offering emerging market opportunities for domestic metal AM equipment and powder producers to expand overseas.
