On August 28, 2026, the three-day Formnext Asia Shenzhen (Aug 26–28, Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center) drew to a close. Laser light sources took center stage in the metal additive manufacturing exhibition area: Baochenxin, a subsidiary of Maxphotonics, debuted its BFMC 500/3000M dual-beam point-ring laser developed specifically for additive manufacturing—a single fiber delivering two beam modes, with 14/50 μm dual core diameters and independently controllable point-ring spot profiles, enabling both high-speed filling and fine-feature processing. Meanwhile, 27 additive manufacturing companies from Jiangsu Province exhibited collectively as a 'Printing Team,' covering metal powder materials, core laser components, printing equipment, and post-processing. Around 330 brands participated, and international visitor pre-registration grew over 50%. Value for powder buyers: ① Upgraded laser sources support high-speed, high-quality printing, accelerating metal powder consumption and raising quality thresholds for powders; ② the Jiangsu 'Printing Team' showcases the clustering of the Yangtze River Delta additive manufacturing supply chain, creating more opportunities for localized powder supply partnerships; ③ the return of international visitors signals a rebound in domestic equipment exports, enhancing the value of powder sales channels tied to exported machines.
