On July 22 at 10:54 a.m., the Gravity-1 (Yao-4) · StarLink vehicle, developed by Orienspace, lifted off from the East China Sea (approximately 170 km east of Shanghai), successfully sending nine satellites—Dongpo 13-14, Dongpo 17-20, Xiguang-2 01, Tianyi 49, and Lilac-3—into their预定 orbits. This marks the first open-sea launch mission for Gravity-1 and the first commercial rocket sea launch by a private Chinese company in the East China Sea region of the Yangtze River Delta. Gravity-1 has a low Earth orbit (LEO) payload capacity of 6.5 tons and a 500 km sun-synchronous orbit (SSO) capacity of 4.2 tons, supporting launches of up to 30 satellites per mission. The rocket was assembled at the Oriental Aerospace Port in Haiyang, Shandong, and transported via the launch vessel "Oriental Aerospace Port" for the mission. This launch further validates Gravity-1's solid-strap-on configuration adaptability to complex sea conditions, marking its transition to a stable, commercially viable operational phase.
