U.S. additive manufacturing jet engine maker Beehive Industries announced at the Farnborough International Airshow a $70 million investment to expand its production base in southwestern Ohio, expected to create more than 200 new jobs. The company specializes in producing 3D-printed Frenzy series jet engines for unmanned aerial defense applications, with a goal of manufacturing over 8,000 units annually. Earlier, Beehive completed the purchase of 30 EOS M4 ONYX systems (the largest single public order in EOS history) and two Nikon SLM NXG 600E systems, and acquired two machining facilities in the Cincinnati area to gain immediate precision manufacturing capabilities. The expansion will be supported by Ohio's "Team Ohio" economic development model, designed to streamline approval processes and accelerate defense production.
