According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, during the first half of 2026, industrial output above designated size grew 5.4% year-on-year, with equipment manufacturing up 9.3% and high-tech manufacturing up 13.3%. By product category, output of 3D printing equipment, lithium-ion batteries, and industrial robots increased by 48.5%, 39.3%, and 28.0%, respectively. 3D printing equipment led the high-end manufacturing segment with a nearly 50% growth rate, reflecting the additive manufacturing industry's rapid expansion. China's GDP reached 695,704 billion yuan in H1, up 4.7%. The manufacturing PMI in June stood at 50.3%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous month. The strong growth in 3D printing equipment output is closely linked to two factors: the rising volume of consumer-grade 3D printers for export and the batch production application of industrial-grade metal printing in aerospace and commercial space sectors.
