Belgian metal additive manufacturing company Amnovis has announced the acquisition of the additive manufacturing operations of U.S.-based Westconn Precision Technologies and the establishment of a new operational entity in North Webster, Indiana, replicating its production system from its Belgian headquarters. The new facility will adopt the same global quality management system, digital workflows, and equipment strategies to ensure process consistency between Europe and the United States. The acquisition aims to integrate metal 3D printing with CNC finishing and post-processing capabilities, strengthening a hybrid manufacturing layout. Amnovis' CEO stated that proximity to Warsaw, Indiana—the world's largest medical device market—reduces customer logistics complexity. This move marks an acceleration of European metal powder bed fusion technology providers penetrating the U.S. medical manufacturing supply chain, offering flexible and scalable additive manufacturing solutions for regulated industries through cross-regional standardized production models.
