French 3D printing service providers 3D Prod and Sculpteo have announced a merger. With support from injection molding company Platex, 3D Prod acquired Sculpteo from a BASF subsidiary; the transaction amount was not disclosed. The merged entity has 100 employees, serving over 7,000 corporate clients across 62 countries. With two factories in Vosges and Villejuif, France, it produces over 1.25 million parts annually, generating €17 million in revenue. The equipment includes 18 HP Multi Jet Fusion printers, along with laser sintering, fused filament fabrication, and stereolithography services. The companies plan to optimize commercial synergies and production, expand into European and North American markets, and upgrade equipment and recruit talent at both sites starting next year to meet market demand growing over 10% annually. The merged company targets €20 million in revenue by 2027, with integration offering a broader mix of materials and processes to support customers from prototyping to mass production.
