According to customs statistics, China exported a cumulative total of 2.94 million 3D printers from January to May 2026, a 90% year-on-year increase. The total export value reached 7.82 billion yuan, up 106.8% year-on-year. In May alone, 646,000 units were exported, representing an 83% increase, with an export value of 1.71 billion yuan, up 95.1% year-on-year. The faster growth in value versus volume indicates an upgrade in export product mix toward mid-to-high-end segments, with average equipment prices continuing to rise. Export value growth exceeded 100% in the first five months, sustaining the high growth momentum seen since Q1. 3D printers have emerged as a new productivity representative for electromechanical products going global. In full-year 2025, China exported approximately 5.02 million units valued at 11.355 billion yuan. By the first five months of 2026, export volume had already reached nearly 60% of the previous year's total, while export value surpassed 70% of the full-year 2025 figure. This year's export scale is expected to hit a historic high.
