U.S. 3D printing industry leader Stratasys will acquire Nano Dimension’s MarkForged for $42.5 million in an all-cash transaction expected to close in the second half of 2026. The deal excludes MarkForged’s metal binder jetting product line, which Nano Dimension will retain. The acquisition covers MarkForged’s polymer, continuous fiber composite, and metal fused filament fabrication product portfolios along with its software systems. Stratasys believes the acquisition will enhance its hardware, material, and software offerings, create cross-selling opportunities, and better position it to meet growing demand for lightweight, high-strength, production-ready parts in aerospace, defense, and other sectors. Notably, MarkForged’s continuous carbon fiber technology will complement traditional manufacturing in tooling, ground support equipment, and certain production components. For Nano Dimension, this sale is part of its three-phase strategic plan for “business line monetization” and is expected to reduce annual cash burn by approximately $15 million.
