Developed independently by the AECC Control System Research Institute, the AEE25 aviation electric engine completed its first production and delivery in Wuxi, Jiangsu. Designed for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, it integrates six core components—main motor, main motor controller, cooling system motor, cooling system motor controller, variable-pitch actuator, and variable-pitch actuator controller—into a single 'six-in-one' fully integrated system. This integration not only reduces volume and weight but also significantly enhances system reliability. The engine achieves a torque density of 40 Nm/kg and a power density of 5 kW/kg, setting a domestic record for the highest torque density among 200 kW-class aviation electric engines. Currently, the AEE25 is undergoing airworthiness testing. The AECC Control System Research Institute stated it will continue deepening key technology research and engineering validation, aiming to meet the demands of the low-altitude economy, electric aircraft, and new power systems, providing more efficient, reliable, and lightweight aviation electric engines for emerging aircraft.
