On September 23, 2026, the Guangdong Province Manufacturing Empowerment Matchmaking Series—AI-Empowered 3D Printing Enterprise Special Matchmaking Conference was held at the Xinqiao East Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park in Bao'an District, Shenzhen. The event was hosted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and organized by the Guangdong Additive Manufacturing Equipment Innovation Center, the Guangdong Mechanical Industry Quality Management Association, and Guangdong Materials Holdings Group. It brought together more than 100 participants from government, enterprises, academia, research, application, and investment sectors, and officially launched the preparatory work for the Guangdong 3D Printing Overseas Industry Alliance, promoting the province's 3D printing industry to improve quality internally and expand markets externally. The event featured leadership speeches, thematic reports, technology sharing, roundtable forums, and supply-demand matchmaking. Equipment and materials companies such as Hanbang Laser, Southern Additive, Heygears, and Sirui Additive; AI technology service providers such as Baidu Shenzhen and ZWSOFT; and downstream application parties such as Zhongke Aerospace, GAC Trumpchi, Kingfa Sci. & Tech., and Huichuang Aviation attended. Tian Xiaoyong, Chief Scientist of Xie Tong High-Tech, Huang Yuyin of Creality, and Zhang Jiawei of Shumei Wanwu shared mature 'AI + Additive Manufacturing' empowerment solutions around intelligent nesting, process parameter optimization, and digital twins. During the matchmaking exchanges, representatives from demand-side parties such as Zhongke Aerospace, GAC Trumpchi, Kingfa Sci. & Tech., and Huichuang Aviation released specific procurement and cooperation needs based on their business layouts. At the roundtable forum 'Full-Chain Breakthrough of 3D Printing in the AI Era,' Li Yin, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen New Materials Industry Association, released the 'Patent Navigation Report on Key Frontier New Materials Industry Planning,' pointing out that competition in the 3D printing industry has shifted from equipment and processes to underlying new materials. China still faces foreign patent barriers in high-performance printing powders, functional composite consumables, and material-process matching, and some core formulations and preparation equipment carry risks of external dependence. Value to powder buyers: ① Leading demand-side parties such as Zhongke Aerospace, GAC Trumpchi, and Huichuang Aviation released on-site procurement and collaboration needs, serving as verification windows for powder suppliers; ② High-performance printing powders were specifically named as facing patent barriers and import dependence, and domestic substitution has received dual support from policy and capital, with independent and controllable powder enterprises benefiting first; ③ The Overseas Industry Alliance has started preparatory work, and powder manufacturers can use alliance channels to expand into overseas markets; it is recommended to track the alliance's first batch of members and subsequent overseas service policies.
