On September 4, 2026, the People's Government of Santai County announced that the Mianyang Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau has accepted the environmental impact assessment (EIA) documents for Sichuan Quanyue Metal Materials Co., Ltd.'s '500 t/y High-Performance Metal Powder Production Line Project' (report form, project category 30-068: casting and other metal products manufacturing). The public comment period runs from September 7 to September 11 (five working days), with Mianyang Shidai Senyang Environmental Protection Technology serving as the EIA agency. The project is located in the Santai Industrial Park, Beiba Town, Santai County, Mianyang City. This marks another 500-tonne-scale metal powder production capacity in Sichuan, following the Chengdu/Panxi titanium material cluster, further expanding the province's powder capacity landscape and intensifying powder supply competition in the western gateway region. Value for powder buyers: ① Sichuan's new 500 t/y high-performance metal powder capacity adds more local supplier options in the southwest; ② Intensified competition in western powder supply lowers transportation costs and shortens procurement lead times; ③ Localized supply of high-performance powders strengthens supply chain security for additive manufacturing and powder metallurgy companies in the southwest.
