On August 20, 2026 (addendum), the U.S. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) awarded Freeform a contract under its Adaptive Space Manufacturing and Scaling Integration (10ⁿ) program to mass-produce space hardware—including propulsion systems and structural components—using the AI-native metal 3D printing platform Skyfall. The goal is to produce hundreds of units per month and thousands per year.
