Australian cold spray additive manufacturing company Titomic (ASX:TTT) has secured a purchase order from Iowa State University for the supply of a 623 ISB-11 integrated cold spray system. The system is designed for materials research, coating development, and manufacturing applications, featuring medium-pressure cold spray capability with integrated material handling and dust extraction modules for turnkey operation in both laboratory and industrial environments. The university stated that the system supports both foundational exploration of new composite materials and validation of formulations for large-scale applications, focusing on aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. Earlier, Titomic signed a $5 million titanium powder order and exclusive supply agreement with Amaero, and also sold a TKF 623 system to a major automotive manufacturer, indicating cold spray technology's expansion from the upstream supply chain into applied research, forming a full-chain layout from powder to repair.
