Norsk Titanium has entered into a long-term repeat production contract with U.S. defense giant Northrop Grumman to supply critical aircraft structural components. This marks the company's first serial production contract following years of qualification and specification development, demonstrating that its RPD (Rapid Plasma Deposition) additive manufacturing technology has achieved aerospace serial production readiness. The contract establishes Norsk Titanium as a reliable supplier of critical structural parts and paves the way for future collaboration on more platforms and applications. The CEO stated it proves the technology's mature performance in demanding aerospace environments. Previously, Norsk Titanium had signed a cooperation agreement with Airbus to install its Merke IV RPD equipment in Germany and conduct joint technical assessments, aiming to transition from part-specific certification to a process-based methodology.
