Australian advanced manufacturing company Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT) announced on October 12 that its wholly-owned Dutch subsidiary, Titomic Europe B.V. (Heerlen), has secured a full-rate production contract in the semiconductor industry, marking the transition of its proprietary TKF (Titomic Kinetic Fusion) cold spray technology from low-rate initial production to commercial-scale volume manufacturing. At the current production rate, the contract is expected to generate approximately €900,000 (about AUD 1.5 million) in revenue in 2027, potentially increasing to approximately €2 million (about AUD 3.2 million) in 2028, depending on customer demand. The company stated that this progress demonstrates customer confidence in its ability to deliver repeatable, production-grade quality products. Managing Director and CEO Jim Simpson said the order marks an important step in Titomic's transition from 'demonstrating technical capability' to 'providing commercial-scale production for customers,' validating both its TKF cold spray technology and its business model. Titomic specializes in large-scale integrated metal additive manufacturing, coating, and repair, serving global customers in aerospace, defense, shipbuilding, oil and gas, and other industries. Value for powder buyers: ① The scaling of cold spray production will continue to consume fine particle-size metal feedstock powders (aluminum, copper, titanium, nickel-based, etc.), with coating and repair of semiconductor equipment components representing a new demand point; ② Cold spray has lower sphericity requirements for powders than LPBF but a different particle size window, allowing powder manufacturers to develop dedicated feedstock grades for cold spray processes and enter the semiconductor equipment supply chain.
