EPlus3D (Yijia 3D, a leading Chinese metal 3D printing equipment manufacturer currently under review for STAR Market IPO) has reached a milestone: its Beijing metal 3D printing expansion project has been successfully completed and has officially entered the move-in and operational phase. The facility represents a total investment of approximately RMB 558 million with a total floor area of about 58,400 square meters (a key project under Beijing's '3x100' initiative). It integrates intelligent production, cutting-edge R&D, precision inspection, and integrated warehousing, and is equipped with clean production workshops, temperature-controlled commissioning environments, and professional powder handling systems. It targets the large-format, multi-laser metal 3D printing equipment needs of aerospace, high-end equipment, precision manufacturing, and research institute customers. Timeline: construction began in March 2025, main structure topped out in September, planning verification passed on September 4, 2026, and now officially in production. Upon full operation, annual production capacity will reach 1,000 units/sets of metal 3D printing equipment, with priority given to expanding large-format models such as the M450 and above. At full capacity, annual output value is expected to exceed RMB 2.1 billion, while shortening delivery cycles and improving equipment quality consistency. Value to powder buyers: (1) The ramp-up of 1,000 metal machine units will directly drive sustained growth in demand for titanium alloy, superalloy, stainless steel, and aluminum alloy powders; (2) The widespread adoption of large-format, multi-laser models will increase the usage of large-format powder cylinders and raise standards for high-flowability atomized powders; (3) Cost reductions from domestic equipment will accelerate the downward penetration of metal AM applications, opening up small- and medium-batch industrial markets beyond aerospace for powder manufacturers.
