On September 1, 2026, five main buildings of the additive manufacturing powder production project by Xi'an Bright Laser Technologies (BLT) in Xixian New Area were topped off. Located in the Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park of Fengxi New City, the project has a planned investment of 1 billion yuan, covering roughly 153 mu (about 10.2 hectares) with a total floor area of approximately 69,800 square meters. It includes 11 factory buildings and supporting facilities, totaling 15 individual structures. The project is designed to build titanium alloy and superalloy powder production lines, equipped with powder atomization systems and argon gas circulation systems. Among the five topped-off buildings (No. 2, 3, 11, 13, and 15), No. 2, 3, and 11 are now undergoing exterior wall and mechanical/electrical installation, while No. 1, 5, and 8 are still in main structural construction. Value for powder buyers: (1) BLT's integrated expansion of both equipment and powder will increase its self-sufficiency in high-temperature alloys and titanium powders, intensifying competition on the supply side; (2) Upon completion, the plant will serve aerospace, high-end equipment, medical, electronics, and robotics sectors, boosting domestic supply capability for high-quality powders; (3) Expanded capacity for aviation-grade powder certification will provide the production base needed to substitute imported grades with domestic alternatives.
