The Aero Engine Science and Technology Innovation Week opened in Chengdu, with Sichuan Provincial Governor Shi Xiaolin attending and delivering a speech, and AECC Chairman Zhang Yuqin presenting a keynote report. Shi Xiaolin stated that Sichuan will work with AECC to leverage the new national system advantages to drive breakthroughs in organized technological innovation. Zhang Yuqin noted that in its ten years since establishment, AECC has initially forged a new path of independent innovation, and looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, it will implement the 'National Fusion Initiative', inviting scientists, engineers, and all sectors to collaborate on innovation challenges. The event released a list of fundamental research needs in the aero engine field and signed cooperation agreements with key universities. Aero engines represent one of the most critical application areas for metal 3D printing, and the emphasis on independent innovation and engine-airframe integration means the domestic supply chain will further shift toward localization, offering strategic opportunities for domestic manufacturers of superalloys, titanium alloy powders, and 3D printing equipment.
