German vacuum technology company ALD has initiated the third expansion phase of its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hanau, Germany, with the new facility expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027. Following a major expansion in 2019, this phase is driven by sustained demand for high-end vacuum equipment in aerospace, energy, advanced materials, and metallurgy sectors. Senior management stated that the new building will support further growth, create jobs, and provide space for ongoing technological upgrades. ALD is renowned in powder metallurgy for vacuum induction melting, vacuum arc remelting, metal powder atomization systems, and heat treatment equipment, serving the production needs of high-performance alloys and high-purity materials. Its equipment is central to the production of high-quality spherical metal powders. This capacity expansion will enhance the supply capability of advanced powder manufacturing equipment, supporting the mass production of powder materials such as titanium alloys and nickel-based superalloys.
