In a full-plate batch production case of robot aluminum alloy upper arm shells, BLT's BLT-S800 system demonstrates a mature and efficient metal 3D printing process. The parts use BLT's proprietary BLT-AlAM400 aluminum alloy material, which is deeply optimized with the equipment to achieve high-density metallurgical quality even at 120μm layer thickness. The BLT-S800 is equipped with 20 lasers and an optimized collaborative printing process, enabling partitioned operation and efficient stitching of 20 laser beams across an 800mm large format. Compared to a six-laser solution, the total build time for the full plate is reduced from 119.8 hours to 35.2 hours, with single-part time dropping to 58.6 minutes, achieving a 70% overall efficiency improvement. This provides an efficient, low-cost, high-quality, and stable production solution for humanoid robot components.
