On October 19, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) published a public notice on a proposed industry standard, "Additively Manufactured Metal Steel Pipes and Fittings for Pressure Equipment," submitted by the China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute. The public comment period ends November 4. If implemented, the standard will provide unified design, manufacturing, and acceptance criteria for additive manufacturing pipe fittings entering pressure equipment sectors such as energy and chemicals, creating standardized incremental application scenarios for stainless steel and nickel-based alloy powders.
