From October 9 to 10, 2026, the Deyang 2026 Q3 major project on-site advancement event was held, with delegates visiting 21 project sites. At the Shifang High-Tech Zone (North District), the Xingong High-End Special Metal New Materials Intelligent Manufacturing Project was showcased as a model for local private enterprise transformation and upgrading. The project focuses on cutting-edge fields such as metallurgical powders and 3D printing metal powders, and upon completion, will have an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons of high-end metal products. Company officials said they will partner with leading 3D printing enterprises in Southwest China to promote large-scale production across Deyang's full chain of 'special alloy smelting—precision forging—precision machining—3D additive manufacturing.' Once operational, the project will fill Deyang's gap in high-end special alloy forgings, driving the enterprise from traditional processing to high-end special forging manufacturing; it will also synergize with the nearby Jiade Equipment large precision forging production project (planned 6 production lines, 30,000 tons of forgings annually). As the 'Heavy Equipment Capital,' Deyang is leveraging the construction of a high-end equipment science and technology city to cultivate emerging pillar industries such as aerospace and low-altitude economy. The project, with metallurgical powders and 3D printing metal powders as raw material directions, will drive synchronous expansion of metal powder preparation and additive manufacturing application capacity in the western Sichuan region, filling a key link in the Southwest powder metallurgy industry chain. Value for powder buyers: ① After the project reaches full production, regional procurement demand for printing powders such as titanium alloy powders and superalloy powders will increase, creating opportunities for localized supply in Southwest China; ② The full-chain layout of 'smelting—forging—additive manufacturing' unlocks space for combined procurement of special alloy powders and forgings; ③ Pay attention to the project's subsequent production milestones and the disclosure of partner 3D printing companies.
