On October 9, Rosatom's additive manufacturing division announced that its compact metal 3D printer, the RusMelt 150M, has been unveiled in Minsk, Belarus. Utilizing selective laser melting (SLM) technology, this model completes the metal printing lineup previously consisting of the mid-sized RusMelt 300M and large RusMelt 600M. Russia is simultaneously advancing its overseas footprint: in Belarus, it is organizing joint assembly of RusMelt printers and partial localization of 3D scanner production; in India, it is launching 3D scanners under the local brand Smart Scan, and the electron beam metal printer RusBeam 2800 has been delivered to the Indian space center, achieving a maximum metal deposition rate of 5 kg/h, forming a 7-liter gas cylinder component in just 4 hours. For metal powder demand stakeholders, the expansion of the Russian SLM/EBM equipment lineup and overseas assembly layout signify a continuous increase in consumption points for metal powders such as titanium alloys and superalloys, and the demand for domestic powder substitution in Russia warrants long-term monitoring.
