From September 23 to 27, 2026, the Fifth Global Digital Trade Expo will be held at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center under the theme "Meet the AI Future at the Digital Trade Expo." The event will feature nearly 2,000 companies, including over 500 AI firms, across 170,000 square meters of exhibition space, with AI exhibitors accounting for more than one-third. AI application pilot bases will be showcased collectively, alongside concurrent events such as the World AI Open Source Competition and the Global Brain-Computer Interface Innovation Contest. As a concurrent activity of this year's expo, the 2026 Global Digital Trade Innovation Competition (Embodied Intelligence Robot Challenge) will be held for the first time, kicking off on September 23 at Hall 6B of the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 100 teams from universities and enterprises will compete in 14 events, with humanoid and legged robots competing in separate groups. Events include 100m/60m sprints, shuttle runs, obstacle courses, 3v3 soccer, free combat, tug-of-war, spot shooting, standing high jump, and a 6-hour 100m shuttle endurance race for legged robots. Starting on the afternoon of September 25, audience interaction sessions such as human-vs-robot races and shooting contests will be open to the public. Hall 6B will also host an enterprise product innovation display area, showcasing robot bodies, six-axis force sensors, motion capture systems, and robot motion data collection equipment, along with an embodied intelligence innovation workshop roadshow. The entire competition will be live-streamed in high definition, and expo ticket holders can enter to watch. Value for powder buyers: ① Structural components such as joints and frames of humanoid/legged robots require high lightweighting and strength, making them a typical application for metal 3D printing (LPBF). Mass production of robots will drive demand for spherical titanium alloy, aluminum alloy, and stainless steel powders. ② The concurrent competition and exhibition area at the expo will centralize the robot industry chain, serving as a window to observe the integration of "robots + additive manufacturing" and potential customers. ③ By paying attention to the structural component printing needs of participating universities and robot companies, you can connect in advance for sample prototyping and material certification.
