The 2026 High-End Application Development Conference for Non-Ferrous Metal Additive Manufacturing was held in Chizhou, Anhui Province. Co-organized by the China Nonferrous Metals Processing Industry Association and the Guichi District People's Government, the event attracted over 200 industry representatives. The conference systematically summarized four major advancements in China's non-ferrous metal additive manufacturing industry: First, the material system is becoming increasingly comprehensive, with aluminum-silicon-magnesium alloy powders and high-performance copper alloy powders for 3D printing achieving internationally leading performance, while TC4 titanium alloy powder has achieved complete self-supply. Second, equipment levels continue to upgrade, with the localization rate of core components such as laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) and electron beam selective melting (EBSM) systems steadily increasing. Third, support for key sectors has been strengthened, with meter-scale large aluminum-titanium alloy structural parts and copper-chromium-niobium alloy thrust chambers achieving stable mass production, enabling large-scale adoption of AM components in the C919, Long March, and Zhuque series rockets. Fourth, penetration into emerging fields is accelerating, with aluminum alloy AM structural parts for new energy vehicles, personalized titanium alloy medical implants, and AI copper alloy liquid cooling components already in practical application. The industry is transitioning from the sample showcase stage to the stage of scaled mass production.
