Canadian metal powder manufacturer Tekna has secured a follow-up order for titanium powder from a U.S. defense contract manufacturer. The customer's cumulative order value for 2026 has exceeded CAD 3 million—more than six times its total 2025 purchases of approximately CAD 500,000. The customer requested anonymity, and the partnership dates back to 2017. Approximately half of the order volume has been shipped, with the remainder scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2026. The order covers Ti-6Al-4V (Ti64) titanium alloy powder for the production of defense components. Tekna’s CEO stated that the growth reflects the customer’s trust in the company’s quality, consistency, and reliability built over nearly a decade of collaboration, and noted accelerating demand for localized high-performance metal powders. Headquartered in Sherbrooke, Quebec and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (ticker: TEKNA), Tekna serves the aerospace, defense, medical, and consumer electronics sectors. The order expansion indicates that defense customers are moving additive manufacturing from small-scale validation to volume production. In Q1 2026, Tekna's revenue grew 19% year-over-year.
