New Zealand-based EBM titanium 3D printing service provider Zenith Tecnica has been acquired by former Boeing and Amazon executives. The company specializes in electron beam melting of titanium alloy components for high-performance sectors such as aerospace and medical, serving clients including Lanteris Space Systems and NASA's Psyche mission. Prior to the acquisition, its six EBM systems were operating at full capacity. The new owners plan to add two more EBM systems and relocate to a larger facility, initiating a significant expansion phase aimed at becoming one of the world's largest and most capable EBM manufacturing partners. The new leadership brings operational experience from Boeing and Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite projects, as well as from highly regulated industries. Zenith's capacity expansion is expected to directly drive increased purchases of EBM-specific titanium alloy powder.
