Targeting the challenge of material consistency in metal additive manufacturing, Xinnuo Special Materials has introduced a full-process control solution. The company has imported equipment such as the German ALD vacuum arc remelting furnace and employs triple vacuum arc remelting to ensure precise control of titanium alloy composition. Its independently integrated domestic first high-precision three-roll continuous rolling line, with an annual capacity of 12,000 tons, refines grain size to 2–3 microns. The large single-weight titanium alloy coiled wire produced by the line weighs 230 kg per coil, far exceeding the industry standard of 75 kg. As additive manufacturing transitions from laboratory to scale, batch-to-batch material consistency has become a critical bottleneck. By controlling parent material quality, Xinnuo reduces composition fluctuations from batch changes, ensuring consistent part performance at the source. This supports the supply of high-quality titanium alloys for medical and aerospace applications, driving the maturation of the additive manufacturing industry.
