Canadian metal powder producer PyroGenesis is in in-depth discussions regarding the expansion of its NexGen plasma-atomized titanium powder production line. The company's plasma atomization technology produces high-purity, highly spherical titanium and titanium alloy powders with low oxygen content, meeting the stringent material performance requirements of aerospace, medical, and other sectors. Through continuous process improvements, the company has reduced operating costs by approximately 20% since March 2025. In customer expansion, PyroGenesis has signed a potential distribution agreement for titanium powders with a materials company supplying the Asian electronics market, covering electronics, medical, and aerospace industries. Additionally, an enterprise has expressed interest in establishing distribution and/or production capabilities in the Middle East. To mitigate product application risks, the company has extended powder suitability to three mainstream processes: PBF-LB, PBF-EB, and DED. The introduction of by-grade powder products in December 2025 further enriched the product portfolio, and the company expects the additive manufacturing division's growth momentum to continue advancing toward long-term strategic goals.
