Metal 3D printing equipment provider Hanbang Laser, in collaboration with titanium alloy bicycle manufacturer Hebei Hanglun, has jointly showcased a solution for bicycle core components based on metal additive manufacturing technology. Utilizing Hanbang Laser's HBD P400 system, the solution enables integrated fabrication of key parts such as titanium alloy fork crowns, lightweight fork blades, and biomimetic cranks. The fork crown, consisting of 72 structural units, is printed in a single run within 17.5 hours, eliminating traditional welding processes; the fork blade achieves a minimum thickness of just 1.3 mm, reducing weight by 20%-50%; and the cranks are designed through topology optimization to precisely distribute material in stress-bearing areas. Hebei Hanglun has already deployed multiple Hanbang Laser systems, transitioning this process from small-batch validation to scalable production, thereby redefining the performance limits of high-end sports equipment through structural innovation and lightweighting.
