Western Superconducting has launched the environmental impact assessment for its 'Smart Unmanned Rapid Forging System R&D Project for Titanium and High-Temperature Alloys.' Located in Xi'an, the project integrates automated forging lines and intelligent sensing technology to address bottlenecks in the batch and homogeneous supply of high-quality master alloys. The technological upgrade will enable precise temperature control and deformation processes to stabilize metallurgical quality during the manufacturing of high-temperature alloy and titanium alloy bar and wire. As a key upstream link in the metal 3D printing industry chain, the implementation of the smart rapid forging system will provide high-quality master alloys from the source for powder production, shortening the validation cycle from R&D to mass production for new powder products.
