On May 28-29, 2026, the High-End Seminar on Innovation and Engineering Application of High-Performance Metal Additive Manufacturing, hosted by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. The closed-door event brought together nearly 100 technical experts and corporate representatives from aerospace OEMs, universities, and research institutes. Panel discussions focused on metal powder material preparation processes, additive manufacturing of large titanium alloy components, hot-section parts for aerospace engines, lightweight design of aircraft structures, aviation transmission systems, and titanium alloy recycling and reuse. Targeting the development needs of high-end equipment innovation, the seminar aimed to establish an in-depth industry-academia-research collaboration platform to propel additive manufacturing technology toward high performance, high reliability, engineering maturity, and large-scale production, thereby supporting technological breakthroughs and industrial upgrading in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
