Lens Technology (Changsha) Co., Ltd. disclosed in the Phase IV metal project at its Huanghua campus that its built-up capacity for phone frames is 12 million sets per year, smart wearable titanium alloy products 4.62 million sets per year, and aluminum alloy products 18 million sets per year. The project carries out a technical upgrade of the smart wearable (stainless steel) production line, whose capacity remains at 7.35 million units; for some products, the original molds were previously made from stainless steel raw material through cutting, machining and grinding, and drilling, and after the upgrade the original molds are produced by 3D printing, with the remaining processes unchanged. Phone frames are divided by substrate into three categories: aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, and stainless steel; stainless steel involves only process improvements and no capacity increase. Aluminum alloy frames undergo drilling and profile milling, grinding and cleaning, and then enter T treatment, which forms a nanoscale coral-reef structure on the surface to support subsequent injection molding, followed by annealing, plasma cleaning, primer coating, glue potting and curing, machining, polishing, anodizing, laser engraving, pad printing, and adhesive bonding and assembly. The T treatment bath solution is replaced on average every two days, and the rinse tanks are refreshed with new water daily; the anodizing section includes dyeing, sealing, and seal enhancement steps, and the sealing tanks generate nickel-containing wastewater. The upgrade also involves the metal small-parts production line, where some products add pickling, injection molding, and passivation processes; Deco parts add an electrophoretic coating stage after stamping, with a capacity of 1.6 million pieces, while the overall capacity of metal small parts remains unchanged at 42 million pieces. Ten new injection molding lines (60 injection molding machines in total), one anodizing line, and one blackening line are built, with injection molding capacity of 1,100 t per year, room-temperature blackening of 4,500 m² per year, and anodizing of 4,000 m² per year, serving only the campus's fixtures, protective gear, and accessories and not accepting outsourced orders.
