T70X (high-temperature titanium alloy powder for selective laser melting) independently developed by Jiangsu Velari New Materials has been selected as a 2026 Jiangsu Province first-batch new material product. Jiangsu recognized 60 items in this batch, the second centralized recognition following the first batch of 33 in 2025. T70X is a near-α high-temperature titanium alloy powder capable of long-term service at 700°C. Its room-temperature and high-temperature strength and creep resistance are superior to those of conventional TC4 and TA15 alloys. It combines high-temperature creep resistance, thermal stability, and corrosion resistance, and is compatible with additive manufacturing and powder metallurgy processes. It solves cracking challenges in high-temperature alloy forming, fills the domestic gap for high-temperature titanium alloys at this performance level, and is fully independently developed with complete intellectual property rights. The material has been put into batch production for key applications including low-pressure compressor blades, casings, and blisks for aero engines, as well as hot-end structural components for high-speed flight vehicles. It is also used in hot-end rotating parts such as low-pressure compressor disks, rotor blades, and drums. Velari operates more than 30 high-end powder production and titanium alloy recycling lines and has led or participated in the formulation of over 20 national standards. Value for powder buyers: (1) T70X provides a domestic powder option for 450–650°C hot-end components; aerospace engine and hypersonic vehicle customers can evaluate substitution opportunities in compressor components. (2) First-batch new material recognition typically comes with application demonstration and insurance compensation policy support; buyers may follow Jiangsu Province's supportive policies for first-batch application of new materials. (3) Monitor the ramp-up pace of Velari's T70X as a supply chain alternative for domestic high-temperature titanium powder replacing imports.
