Suzhou-based company SnowX has opened a Kickstarter prelaunch page for its SnowPod compact metal 3D printer. The machine uses laser powder bed fusion technology, with the crowdfunding campaign planned for Q4 2026; users can sign up for notifications. The printer measures 360 × 360 × 660 mm with a build volume of 80 × 80 × 100 mm and initially uses 316L stainless steel. It integrates a sealed powder cartridge, powder recycling, process monitoring, and nitrogen supply, achieving a recycling rate of approximately 90%. It includes built-in slicing software and AI vision monitoring, targeting jewelry, art, and product prototyping users. This move brings metal additive manufacturing to creator communities beyond industrial production lines.
