On September 1, 2026, Galactic Energy's independently developed Zhinusheng-1 medium-lift reusable liquid rocket completed its maiden flight successfully from the Dongfeng Commercial Space Innovation Experimental Zone in Jiuquan. The rocket is 52 meters tall, with a liftoff mass of 283 tons and liftoff thrust of 350 tons, designed for no fewer than 25 reuses. Its main propulsion, the Cangqiong-50 LOX/kerosene engine, employs a seven-engine parallel configuration, with 90% of components manufactured via 3D printing. This reduced the thrust chamber production cycle from several months to 45 days and lowered the unit cost to under 3 million RMB. Additive manufacturing companies such as Bright Laser Technologies (BLT) have established supply partnerships with Galactic Energy. The production base in Liuhe, Nanjing, completed construction and testing in June this year, focusing on final assembly and testing of the Zhinusheng-2 (4.5m diameter, ~75m height), with an annual production capacity of 10 units.
