XipMan Additive Technology has commenced stable production of GRCop-42 Cu-Cr-Nb spherical powder at its intelligent production line in Shizuishan, Ningxia, for use in regeneratively cooled combustion chambers of liquid rocket engines. Iterating on NASA's alloy, the material halves chromium and niobium content, reduces melting temperature by 150–200°C, and optimizes thermal conductivity, high-temperature crack resistance, and 3D printing compatibility, matching import standards. XipMan employs homogeneous melting to address composition inconsistencies from melting point differences among Cu, Cr, and Nb, and uses sealed argon atomization and inert gas atmosphere control to ensure powder sphericity and low oxygen content. The material is now ready for mass production. XipMan has also developed a matrix of nearly ten copper-based powders, including CuCr series, CuW, and Cu-Li-Ta multi-component alloys, for applications in electrical contacts, thermal management, high-temperature and high-pressure molds, and precision elastic conductive parts for aerospace and new energy sectors.
