Germany-based AMSIS has completed integration of its GENESIS Print Suite print preparation software with EOS equipment software through the EOS Developer Network: support structures, simulation-derived scanning strategies (Smart Hatching), and process parameter sets can be exported directly from GENESIS to the EOS machine software, so build files are ready to run on the machine with no manual rework in between, and this has been validated using real EOS print jobs. GENESIS targets PBF-LB and includes second-level thermal simulation for overheating risk assessment, automatic core and skin zoning, and power control modules. It has previously been made compatible with Nikon SLM, DMG Mori, Colibrium, Eplus3D, and other equipment, positioning itself as a unified print preparation solution for mixed-machine workshops. AMSIS was founded in 2017, is headquartered in Bremen, Germany, and was established by Professor Vasily Ploshikhin. It received seed funding from HZG Group and focuses on print preparation and simulation software for laser powder bed fusion. Deep integration between print preparation software and mainstream equipment vendors is turning simulation-driven processes from an expert tool into a standard production line fixture, significantly reducing the difficulty of managing process consistency in mixed-machine workshops. Buyers with multiple equipment brands can use a single software suite to unify process preparation workflows, lowering training and process-switching costs. When selecting a solution, they should evaluate the software's compatibility with their existing equipment ecosystem.
