According to global technology industry market intelligence firm Context, total global additive manufacturing equipment revenue increased 31% year-over-year in Q2 2026, with unit shipments higher than the same period last year in three of four price categories. Metal additive manufacturing equipment and entry-level equipment were the main growth drivers. The recovery in equipment shipments is transmitting pro-cyclically to upstream metal powders—an expanding installed base means a thicker powder consumption foundation, and the powder output ramp-up from new machine deliveries will materialize over the next 1-2 quarters.
