On November 2, China News Service reported that Shanxi Fuhengdi New Materials, a national-level specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative "little giant" enterprise in Wenxi County, Shanxi Province, has raised magnesium powder purity to 99.95%, achieving import substitution for ultra-high-purity magnesium powder, breaking an overseas monopoly, and exporting products to more than ten countries and regions including Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea. The company has invested more than RMB 45 million in R&D, including over RMB 32.77 million in hydrogen storage projects, holds 69 patents, and served as the lead drafting unit for the national standard "Magnesium and Magnesium Alloy Powder." The company has collaborated with institutions such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Chongqing University to build one of China's earlier hundred-ton-level pilot lines for hydrogen storage magnesium powder, and is steadily advancing the layout of a ten-thousand-ton-level demonstration line. Wenxi County has included the company in its key cultivation and IPO reserve enterprise pool, promoting the magnesium industry's move toward high-end and green development. The news does not mention any direct connection to metal additive manufacturing or 3D printing powder.
