German EOS has partnered with Brazilian space startup BIZU Space (one of the prime contractors for the MLBR Brazilian micro-launcher program): EOS provides DfAM training and 12 months of on-site consulting to BIZU engineers, targeting liquid rocket engine combustion chambers, closed-cycle turbopumps, and injector heads (Inconel 718/Ti-6Al-4V, LPBF including the EOS M 400). According to Brazilian media reports in November, BIZU completed engine hot-fire tests and aims to increase MLBR payload from 40 kg to 80 kg; production lead times for 100 mm-class aerospace parts have been cut from 2-4 weeks with CNC to 24-48 hours, achieving 30-45% weight reduction and up to 80% part consolidation. EOS is also supplying European-produced metal powders locally through a newly established Brazilian distribution center, reducing material delivery times from about 6 weeks to within 2 weeks. The equipment maker is simultaneously exporting a regionalized support model of 'equipment + powder supply node' to emerging space markets; powder delivery timeliness has become key to order conversion, offering a reference for domestic powder manufacturers' overseas distribution strategies.
