Jiuhe Advanced Science and Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. has moved into the Beijing Daxing Jinyu High-tech Industrial Park (converted from the former Beijing Aerated Concrete Plant), renting a total of 4,800 square meters across four floors of Building C3. The first floor houses ten large metal 3D printing machines, the second and third floors are planned for small and medium-sized pilot equipment and testing laboratories, and the fourth floor is the R&D office area. Founded by Dr. Xia Tian, the company takes materials science as its core and covers composition design across the full process of alloy melting, atomization powder production, 3D printing, and heat treatment. It has independently developed a low-cost, high-strength printable aluminum alloy (yield strength exceeding 500 MPa, approximately RMB 100/kg) and has delivered liquid rocket engine turbopump housings and closed impellers (support-free printing, reducing support volume by 96%) to leading commercial space customers, becoming the exclusive supplier of key products for several leading commercial space companies. Implications for powder producers: demand from the commercial space sector for validation and procurement of low-cost, high-performance aluminum alloy powders continues to rise, and companies with integrated capabilities in composition design, powder production, and printing are better positioned to enter the validation loop of leading customers.
