The Mianyang Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau has accepted the environmental impact assessment document for Sichuan Quanyue Metal Materials Co., Ltd.'s '500-Ton-Per-Year High-Performance Metal Powder Production Line Project' (published on the Santai County Government website on November 5, with a public notice period from November 6 to November 12). The project is located in the Santai Industrial Park, Beiba Town, Santai County, and leases approximately 1,500 square meters of standardized factory space. It will build one intelligent nitrogen-protected crushing production line for high-performance metal powders with an annual capacity of 500 tons: 350 tons of ferrochrome powder, 50 tons of ferromolybdenum powder, 30 tons of phosphor copper powder, 30 tons of ferrotitanium powder, 30 tons of ferrophosphorus powder, and 10 tons of ferromanganese powder. There is no production wastewater; dust is treated by baghouse filtration and discharged through a 15-meter exhaust stack. Sichuan Quanyue Metal Materials Co., Ltd. was founded in 2019 with registered capital of 2 million yuan and is located in the Qingdongba Industrial Park, Santai County. It is a high-tech enterprise integrating research, development, production, and sales of metal powders. The company operates water atomization, gas atomization, reduction, ball milling, and air-classification sieving equipment for powder production, and conducts industry-academia-research cooperation with universities and institutes including Sichuan University, the University of Science and Technology Beijing, Central South University, and Xi'an Jiaotong University. Its main products include elemental metal powders (nickel, copper, tungsten, molybdenum, and cobalt powders, etc.), ferroalloy powders, soft magnetic powders, thermal spray powders, and laser cladding powders. The project focuses on ferroalloy powders as its main product, serving the powder metallurgy press-and-sinter market and the thermal spray/laser cladding market. This adds another metal powder production capacity in Southwest China, strengthening support for local manufacturing capabilities. New local supply of ferroalloy powders such as ferrochrome, ferromolybdenum, and ferrotitanium, as well as thermal spray and laser cladding powders, will shorten logistics cycles and payment terms for buyers in Southwest China and neighboring regions. Buyers are advised to monitor the project's commissioning progress and product specifications after the public notice period.
