October 27 report: Jordan Technology has obtained China's first Class III medical device registration certificate for 3D-printed dental implants, with the project officially landing in Shenwan, Zhongshan. The Class III certificate is the highest regulatory level for implantable medical devices; approval means 3D-printed dental implants have gained commercial market access in China for the first time. The product is based on titanium alloy laser powder bed printing, and its porous surface structure promotes osseointegration. The company will leverage its Zhongshan base to advance production transfer of the registration certificate and market promotion, supplying implantology departments of public hospitals and chain dental institutions. Value for powder buyers: (1) The first Class III certificate opens the gate to the 3D-printed implant market, creating certainty of growing demand for medical-grade titanium alloy powder (Ti6Al4V ELI grade); (2) medical customers have extremely high requirements for powder batch traceability and biological evaluation, so suppliers with complete quality systems will be prioritized for orders; (3) similar dental/orthopedic implant companies will accelerate their applications, causing a short-term concentrated release of powder validation demand.
