TTT Group, a Spanish heat treatment and surface coating service provider, has installed the Hiperbaric HIP 107 hot isostatic pressing system to improve the mechanical properties of critical metal components in the aerospace and oil & gas sectors. The system operates at a maximum pressure of 2000 bar (200 MPa) and a maximum temperature of 1400°C (optionally up to 2000°C), featuring rapid cooling technology that integrates heat treatment and material densification into a single process. This investment is the largest in TTT Group's 65-year history and marks the first Hiperbaric HIP system installed in Spain. HIP eliminates micro-internal porosity in cast and metal additively manufactured parts, enhancing fatigue strength and enabling lighter-weight designs. TTT Group will leverage this system to enter future technology markets such as additive manufacturing and near-net shaping. By combining heat treatment and HIP densification into a one-stop service, the equipment helps shorten the entire supply chain cycle from powder to final part.
