Brazilian rocket propulsion developer BIZU Space has partnered with EOS to advance metal additive manufacturing capabilities for rocket engine components. The collaboration covers combustion chamber and closed-cycle turbopump technologies, with engineers receiving additive design training through the EOS Additive Minds Academy. BIZU Space designs and manufactures liquid rocket engines using storable propellants, having previously launched Brazil's first all-liquid-propulsion rocket, the FTL-Perseu, and participated in Brazil's MLBR micro-launch vehicle project. For the metal powder industry: the entry of a Brazilian aerospace startup into EOS metal AM capabilities signals a growing demand in the South American market for metal powders (such as superalloys) and equipment; training programs and localized powder supply are advancing in parallel.
